Happy 2017!

Dave Aabo, CEO of WAVES here, I just wanted to take a moment to welcome you to our new site. This has been a big goal of WAVES and finally it’s here!

The new and improved site includes insightful photos, a clear navigational system, new graphics, and a sleek design ready for any sized device. We’ve also improved the structure of our content, so you’ll get a better idea of what sustainable surf trips we offer and find information faster. There’s many more smaller but impactful changes, all to make your experience of the website that much better!

While a good number of people have contributed in different ways to get the site to where it’s at, a big thanks goes to our team member, Emily Rathmanner, for her drive, design skills and belief in the mission. I’ve always liked to say that WAVES is bigger than any one person, but it sure does take a lot of collective individual effort to come this far!

This is an exciting time for the organization and WAVES in general. In the US, some great partnerships have been formed and continue to develop in and out of the US. Be on the lookout for upcoming events this spring! In Peru, the team in Lobitos is strong and works tirelessly to provide amazing programs for the community and visiting travelers. In Switzerland, there seems to always be a cool surf-related event or connection on the horizon – pretty awesome for a country with no ocean.

As we step into a new phase of growth and development, I’m happy to directly engage with a variety of constituents. Whether it’s our friends and partners around the world, team members in Peru or individual travelers, I value the diversity of people, organizations and backgrounds that are taking an interest and becoming connected to the WAVES family. So drop us a line, maybe come on a trip or support us from the comfort of your own home.

We welcome you to an amazing 2017 and this next phase!

Thanks for stopping by.
