Nina is another of the silent heroes of WAVES. She worked in Lobitos for over 2 years and contributed to many different aspects of programming there. Teaching English to the young people and tutoring adults were primary roles, but she was also active in the Open-air cinema for kids and a project with local fisherman to reconstruct Lobitos’ history based on their memories. Coordinating with various people and organizations in the community, she continued to build the currency of goodwill and good heartedness for the mission in Lobitos. While Nina has gone on to other adventures, and another Peru native has joined the team teaching English, we are grateful for her contributions at numerous levels. Thank you Nina!
