This is a special time of year. As we reflect on all the good times, laughs, waves, projects and accomplishments, I am filled with gratitude for the people making it happen. It’s with great pleasure that over the next week we’ll be sharing profiles of some of the amazing people sharing a glimpse into their lives, special places in Lobitos and a bit of what WAVES and the place means to them. This first profile features Irene Periche, a strong woman who has provided endless support to the organization and community over the years! Many thanks to Emilie Gafner for driving this #WAVESLove initiative and compiling the profiles in English, Spanish and French earlier in the year.
