How your donations make an impact: WAVES for Development Peru

Salaries of local English and Environmental instructors in coastal Peru:
In 2009, 40 youth demonstrated the ability to communicate with tourists in basic English and properly dispose of waste.
* For $20 you can sponsor a class.


WAVES for Development Peru Building materials and art supplies for community projects:
In 2009, community members build a structure to house educational activities where youth painted a mural of their vision for the future of their community. Today youth are learning skills at the center to launch local businesses and increase their families' income.
* A $50 donation will fund a community art project that provides a healthy outlet for youth.


WAVES for Development PeruSurfing, swimming and first aid equipment, supplies, and materials:
50 youth have learned to swim because of WAVES programming, reducing their risk of drowning and improving their health. 5 youth have been trained in first aid, some of the only people in their community ready to take action in the case of an emergency.
* $200 supports the maintenance, storage and replacement of equipment and supplies for 1 month.
